HOMESCHOOL SUMMER 2009
We had a super fun time studying a little about the pioneers this summer. We dipped candles, created an authentic meal, made our own butter from cream, built a super awesome cabin and read books by candlelight. I'm not sure what the kids liked the best, but I really enjoyed the reading. The girls were all over it and had good attitudes because they got to stay up late.
I'm considering homeschooling this fall from the hours of about 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. My kids would all be captive pupils for sure (or asleep which isn't a bad thing either, right)?
Oh my goodness! I can't believe how grown up your kids are.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had fun being pioneers. You always had the most clever ideas of kid activities.
You'd totally rock at homeschooling... no matter what time of day or night!
you made me smile!!!
ReplyDeletethose are the cutest pioneers i've seen.
ReplyDeleteyou are the coolest Mom! My kids still say so. I am currently typing one handed because I have to hold my jaw up with the other....how did your kids grow up so much?
ReplyDeleteWow. What fun. I bet the kids loved it. I can't believe how big your kids are. I haven't seen a photo for a while. It is good to hear from you.
